AUSA – Cadex Defence

The Mk15 Upgrade Kit is designed to take a McMillan single shot .50 bolt action weapon and turn it into a magazine fed weapon. Utilizing the Cadex Defence Chassis System, it is a modular system that will allow future upgrades or changes in components. The modular construction of the Strike 50 stock also makes for a stronger chassis as the “lower” is a single piece. Additionally, the chassis is configurable through the use of Picatinny rail sections.

The Drake Stalker Gen 2 represents the latest generation in precision rifles. With a design based upon lessons learned from real-world deployment, it delivers superb accuracy, ergonomics and adaptability suited for the urban police marksman or soldiers..
Many precision riflemakers are now moving to modular chassis systems. I remember when they first arrived they were slow to catch on, that is until shooters actually used them. Like all new or foreign things, modular chassis systems had their detractors— many would not budge from stocks and actions that were “bedded” to fiberglass stocks. But much like first-focal-plane scopes, these systems had been fielded in Europe for years and garnered fantastic success. Over time, the systems moved into the American market, where they have quickly progressed. What once was an exotic import is now, in one form or another, a state-of-the-art system.
The concept of “combat necessity” has led to the production of systems that will accommodate all the latest equipment—night vision, lasers, thermal sights and the like that permeate the modern battlefield. The days of a guy and his gun with a fixed 16X scope are long gone. Technology has grown in leaps and bounds, and rifle systems have changed in kind. In response to military contracts and end-user demand, precision rifles now include railed forends, shorter barrels and a modular chassis that requires no bedding. Actions are fast and slick and have triggers that can be adjusted in the field. Rear stocks are adjustable and foldable for carry or concealment. Long barrels are being replaced by shorter ones with greater rigidity, different rifling and other long-range enhancements. These innovations have resulted in some very accurate rifles that have excellent fit—duct-taping padding to the stock should be a thing of the past. Featuring new, top-quality composites with user-friendly adjustments, these rifles can be reconfigured in the field in minutes (with no tools).

CADEX STRIKE DUAL 33, GEN 3

From a customer of ours (Active Duty US Army) displaying his CADEX STRIKE DUAL 33, GEN 3 Type Chassis with Remington® 700 .300WM as configured as an M24E1 or M24E Sniper Weapon System. The U.S. Military is using the XM2010® with the delivered or issued color of black for the original Gen 1 type chassis (or R.A.C.S. type chassis system), but we thought that the customers choice of Multicam® is an excellent example of keeping this CADEX STRIKE DUAL 33, GEN 3 Type Chassis system as cutting edge as possible.

Remington 700, R.A.C.S. and XM2010 is a registered product name or trade marked of Remington
Multicam is a registered product or trade marked name of Crye Precision

What a pro

Chris,
I want to thank you, sincerely, for arranging for Monty to come all the way up here to fix my rifle. I was amazed with his skill and it appears he got the action/barrel trued up very nicely.
We even went out to test fire it. I can’t say I really noticed the recoil – that muzzle break is awesome. When Monty shot it, with me at the next bench over, I could feel the blast effect. The rifle got lots of envious looks and some nice comments.
I wish my eyes were 30 years younger so I could shoot better. Anyway, I think I’ll take it out again tomorrow. One of the many lessons I learned today, was the effect that temperature has on external ballistics. Of course, that isn’t new to me but it was very evident today, as we had about a 15-20 degree drop in temperature from when we started shooting, to when we finished. It made quite a difference.
You have a great friend in Eddie. He’s a great guy and a real pro. He is a natural teacher.
Your quick service was not at all necessary, but it is much appreciated. Any time you need a testimonial of your professionalism, service and commitment to your customers, please do not hesitate to ask.

Warmest regards,
Mike

As far as the rig being comfortable… after fondling a BUNCH of stocks/chassis to me it is the most ergonomically correct stock fit for me… as far as the scope being above the bore, yeah it is up there, but when nestled into this stock with all the adjustments it isn’t nearly as awkward as some have made it out to be and is very accommodating… if you ever have a chance to see and play with this chassis in person you will see what I mean about the scope height “issue” some are claiming to see… I assure you they have little to no time with the chassis and are making assumptions on what they see in pics…to say the least I was Addicted to the Remington MSR and XM2010 to the point that when I heard Drake Associates was gonna be bringing these into the US I had to have one…and for what it is worth Chris Drake is an awesome guy to deal with if you are interested in the chassis.
Specs:

Larue LT111 OBR Scope Mounts
NightForce 5.5-22×56 w/ NP-R1, Zero Stop
Holland scope level
Harris Bipod w/ pod lock
AAC 51T Flash Hider
AAC 762SD Suppressor

For a novice bolt gun shooter, I think it is pretty accurate… My best 5 shot group yet at 100 yards using Federal Gold Match 175 BTHP 2618FPS gave me a .446 grouping, although the suppressor did spread the grouping out to .661 when installed, but I did only lose some 85 FPS with suppression. I am very excited to see what this gun and I am capable of with some more range time…Thanks for all the good info on the hide and I hope you enjoyed…
